How it All Began

In 2019, we discovered a deficiency in cleaning services for short-term rental (STR) properties, which offered a personalized, homey feeling and cost-efficient environment for customers to live. But back-to-back bookings didn’t allow enough time to clean the properties before guests moved in and out. So, we developed a mobile app which uberized our cleaning services for Airbnb and other STR properties.Subsequently, our expansion into manufacturing was a natural progression as we created and launched our own line of general cleaning supplies and disinfectant products. Easy access to the products resulted in a time and cost saving measure for clients and it was great marketing for us!

After the Covid-19 outbreak, we strengthened our efforts in manufacturing and expanded our product line to include a safe and effective disinfectant which would kill coronavirus germs on hard surfaces. The result was our very popular Germicide RTU disinfectant which is approved by Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

People around the world now recognize our brand simply by our uniqueness and our ability to give our customers exactly what they need. We’re proud to say that we didn’t wash our hands of the issues faced by property owners and guests. Instead, we rolled up our sleeves, got into the trenches and solved these problems. Our App Meets Client Demands

We’re always trying to offer more to our customers! So, we elevated our short-term rental cleaning services by developing UpMaid, a mobile app which uberized cleaning services for Airbnb and other short-term rental platforms. Our app made cleaning more accessible to short-term rental owners and renters in the Greater Toronto Area and also became a platform for professional cleaners seeking work.

But we didn’t stop there. To ensure our clients were getting the safest and best cleaning service in town, we listened to the needs of our cleaning professionals. As frontline workers in Airbnbs, offices, schools and commercial and industrial buildings, our cleaning professionals needed more effective and safe solutions to do their job effectively. We were all tired of two things:

• Reading long lists of toxic ingredients found in current cleaning product labels
• Negative feedback from those on the frontlines of the cleaning industry about cleaning products, which led to allergic reactions, lingering environmental toxins, etc.

The process began on May 30, 2019, much BEFORE the COVID-19 pandemic hit and changed our world forever.With the hard work, skills and expertise of our 20-person team of scientists, product developers, biologists, chemists, researchers, lab technicians and a growing administration team, we produced safe, reliable, Health Canada and CFIA approved cleaning solutions for the open market.
